Ryan is a Registered Psychologist with General Registration from the Psychology Board of Australia. Ryan has practiced in both the Private and Government sectors assisting with a variety of presentations, including: Depression, Anxiety, Work-related stress, Relationship breakdown, Interpersonal conflict, Trauma (PTSD), Pain management, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Substance-abuse disorders, Bi-polar disorder, Schizophrenia, and Personality disorders (Borderline Personality Disorder, Antisocial Personality Disorder, Avoidant Personality Disorder).
Ryan is well succinct in one-on-one Psychotherapy and also has experience facilitating Group therapy, Family therapy and Couples therapy (Systemic Therapy). Ryan has experience assisting clients across the lifespan from ages of as young as 5 years, up to 70 years.
Ryan utilizes a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Interpersonal Therapy, Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy.
Ryan uses an empathic and compassionate approach to build rapport and help clients feel comfortable in therapy so they can develop the skills and strategies required to manage any presenting barriers and achieve personal goals.
